재미한국학교협의회, 3월24∼26일 한국어 능력 평가 실시

 

 

재미한국학교협의회(NAKS·회장 추성희)는 3월 24∼26일 미 전역에 있는 한국학교 5∼12학년 학생을 대상으로 '제3회 NAKS 한국어 능력 평가'를 시행한다고 밝혔다.

이 평가는 학생들의 실질적인 한국어 능력을 검증해 평가 체계를 정립하고 학습자에게 한국어 학습을 위한 동기 부여와 능력 향상을 목적으로 실시한다.

추성희 회장은 "이 시험을 통해 축적되는 데이터가 미국 고등학교 내 대학인정학점 취득이 가능한 학습 과정인 AP(Advanced Placement) 한국어 채택을 위한 발판이 되기를 기대한다"고 말했다.

NAKS는 이 시험의 새로운 방향이 될 '언어 숙달도 기반 한국어 교수법'에 관한 세미나를 최근 회원을 대상으로 진행했다.

 

 

 

 

The National Association of Korean Schools (NAKS) announced that it will conduct the "3rd NAKS Korean Language Proficiency Assessment" on March 24-26 for students in grades 5-12 at Korean schools across the United States.

 

The assessment aims to establish an evaluation system by verifying students' actual Korean language skills and to motivate learners to learn Korean and improve their skills.

 

"We hope that the data accumulated through this test will serve as a springboard for the adoption of Advanced Placement Korean, a course of study that can be taken for college credit in U.S. high schools," said Sunghee Chu.

 

NAKS recently held a seminar for its members on "language mastery-based Korean language teaching methods," which will be the new direction of the test.
