스타라이트치과그룹, 나바호 인디언 소아치과 무료봉사 예정

 

 

아리조나 한인 최초 소아 및 교정 전문 치과 그룹인 스타라이트치과그룹 (Starlight Dental Group, 대표 태준호)이  개원 2주년 기념으로 나바호 인디언 소아치과 무료 봉사활동을 3월 4일~5일 이틀간 진행할 예정이다. 

나바호 선교를 담당하는 한명수 선교사가 사역하는 카메룬 그레이 마운틴 바이블 교회에서 나바호 인디언 유아 및 어린이 대상으로 각종 무료 소아치과 진료 및 치과 위생 교육을 진행한다.

치과 진료는 한국 및 미국 교정전문의인 송하나 원장과 스타라이트치과그룹 소속 나바호 출신 치과위생사가 진행할 예정이고, 한명수 선교사가 장소 및 지역 홍보를 지원하며, 스타라이트치과그룹이 모든 치과 장비, 재료 및 각종 선물을 지원한다.

태준호 대표는 “아리조나 한인 기업이 한인 선교사와 협업해서 나바호 인디언들에게 봉사활동을 진행하는 것이 의미가 있다”라고 하면서, 앞으로 나바호 인디언 선교를 위해서 헌신하는 한명수 선교사를 지원하기 위해서 분기별 치과 의료 봉사 활동, 법률 지원 활동 등을 준비하고 있다고 덧붙였다.

태준호 대표는 올해 2월 아리조나 변호사 자격을 취득해서 본격적으로 아리조나에서 변호사 활동을 개시할 예정이다.

Starlight Dental Group, Arizona's first Korean-American dental group specializing in pediatric and orthodontic care, will host a two-day pro bono pediatric dental outreach to Navajo Indians on March 4-5 to celebrate its second anniversary.

 

Free pediatric dental care and dental hygiene education will be provided to Navajo Indian infants and children at Grey Mountain Bible Church in Cameroon, where Dr. Myung Soo Han, a missionary in charge of Navajo missions, works.

 

The dental care will be provided by Dr. Hana Song, a Korean and American orthodontist, and a Navajo dental hygienist from Starlight Dental Group, while Myungsoo Han will provide venue and local promotion, and Starlight Dental Group will provide all dental equipment, materials, and gifts.

 

"It is meaningful for an Arizona Korean-American company to collaborate with a Korean-American missionary to serve the Navajo people," said Junho Tae, adding that the company plans to organize quarterly dental medical outreach and legal assistance activities to support Missionary Han's dedication to the Navajo mission.

 

Mr. Tae will be admitted to the Arizona bar in February of this year and will begin practicing law in Arizona.
