올해 첫 피닉스 순회영사업무 실시돼 총 309건 민원처리

 

 

아리조나주 한인회(마성일 회장)가 3월 7일 오전 9시부터 오후 4시까지 로스앤젤레스 총영사관이 주최하는 영사업무를 지원했다.

인터넷으로 접수한 110명과 현장 접수한 40명 등 약 150여명의 민원인들이 아시아나 마켓 메사 푸드코트에서 열린 영사업무를 찾았다.

많은 인원이 몰리면서 현장에서 접수한 15명 가량은 시간 관계상 다음 기회를 이용하기로 하고 발길을 돌렸다.

이날 영사업무를 통해 총 309건(여권 49건, 위임장 등 73건, 가족관계증명서 85건, 국전상살 등 29건, 재외국민등록 6건, 가족관계등록 3건, 병역 3건, 비자 5건, 기타 56건)의 민원이 처리됐다.

마성일 회장은 영사업무를 위해 엘에이에서 파견나온 한주형 부영사, 실무관들을 비롯해 장소를 제공한 아시아나 마켓 그리고 특히 자원봉사에 앞장 선 임원 및 이사진들께 감사를 전했다.

마 회장은 오는 4월 투산, 5월 피닉스에서 또 순회영사업무가 진행될 것이라며 일정이 정해지면 1달 전에 공지하고 2주 전부터 예약을 받을 예정이라고 전했다.

이어 예약을 하고 왔지만 대기시간이 있었던 점 등 교민들이 다소 불편을 겪으신 부분은 널리 양해를 부탁드린다고 덧붙였다.

The Korean American Association of Arizona (President Ma Sung-il) supported the Consulate General in Los Angeles on March 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a consular workshop.

 

About 150 people, including 110 online applicants and 40 on-site applicants, visited the service at the Asiana Market Mesa food court.

 

Due to the large number of people, about 15 walk-ins were turned away due to time constraints.

 

A total of 309 cases (49 passports, 73 powers of attorney, 85 family relationship certificates, 29 war crimes, 6 overseas resident registrations, 3 family relationship registrations, 3 military service, 5 visas, and 56 other cases) were processed through the consular service.

 

Mr. Ma thanked Deputy Consul Han Joo-hyung, who traveled from Los Angeles for the event, the staff, Asiana Market for providing the venue, and the officers and board members who volunteered their time.

 

Mr. Ma said that the consular program will be held again in Tucson in April and Phoenix in May, and once the schedule is set, he will announce it one month in advance and take reservations two weeks in advance.

 

He added that he would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused to the members of the community, such as the fact that there was a waiting time even though they had made a reservation.
